Montgomery Ward & Son single shot shotgun Model SB-115. The shell is not popping out. Anyone know anything about this gun? Tried High Brass and Low Brass with no luck.

Have you tried a little penetrating oil around the extractor mechanism?   Its possible that the spring is broken but a lot of times they just freeze up due to an accumulation of crud.

I'll give it a try and see what happens. When I push a live round in without it closing it makes a clicking sound.

Still the same... I let it sit for 2 days. Had fun shooting it this morning though I had to put a heavy ball bearing down the barrel for the hull to come out lol.

Is the extractor failing to move at all, or failing to catch the rim?

In the second Pic it looks like the extractor is not touching the rim of the shell. Most likely the extractor spring is done with.

The Winchester/Cooey, Savage, H&R and the Marlin to name a few...  The picture isn't very clear but my guess is the extractor is worn to the point that it slips pass the shell. There is a spring inside the barrel to move the extractor out and this might be broken.
