GripShot, The Rail Mounted Serpa Pistol Holster

GripShot is an adapter to mount either a Safariland ALS or Serpa holster to picatinny rails. The GripShot mount costs $135.

The premise is that it is faster to have your sidearm in your field of view and it is faster than drawing your pistol from a traditional hip mounted or drop leg holster.

Good grief.   :facepalm

It seems like all this "thinking outside the box" in the firearms industry has just gotten a bit out of hand.  At what point are you just thinking outside sensible:smh

Yea I saw this on a post from InRange. The biggest problem is the fascination of operators operating operationally; also, most of these "inventors" usually have no clue about firearms in general. Everybody wants to be the cool guy and are willing to look like total morons to obtain it. Another personal favorite of mine is the light/laser that activates when your finger is on the trigger  :facepalm Some mall ninja will buy it but I have hope that people who actually know firearms are ignoring this trash so it dies quick.

The French bolt gun or the French auto loader? The bolt gun is the MAS 36 and the auto loader is the MAS 49. Word to the wise stay away from the MAS 49 .308 conversions unless you are a collector.

Thanks 870 I'm glad I found a good AZ site to hang around on, also I re-read my post and the last line kind of sounds like I'm an a**. For the record for anyone reading the conversions to the new .308 NATO round in those rifles were spotty at best. They need some hefty TLC to get them going good, but the originally chambered 7.5x54? They are awesome and good to go. PPU makes ammo for the 7.5 too so you won't have to scrounge for custom loads that cost big $$$$.

Yeah. Gripshot, Sure, as if 9 out of 10 AR's are not already heavy enough. Now, if your running a Pistol caliber AR, and your handgun in that fancy holster adaptor were the same caliber......who said 6.5 wasn't a cool guy??

I don't even like the way the weight of a dual mag changes the balance of my AR. Let alone putting s pistol at the end of it.
