Looking to move to free territory
« on: May 22, 2016, 02:26:20 am »
Hi, everyone!

I'm a 33 year old Marine in the godforsaken wasteland of socal intending to leave this blight at the end of my contract and start my new life in Arizona. I've been in the IT field the entire time I've been in the Corps, so my plan is to either get a job in the IT field, or go back to school to finish my degree. I love to shoot my glock and my AR, and I'm planning on finishing my .308 AR build sometime in the future, as well doing a suppressed mk18 build somewhere down the road. My avatar pic was taken from when I went shooting with my friend somewhere in the middle of Maricopa Co. last time I was in AZ back in Dec 2014.

I'm looking forward to get to know you all better and maybe meet up with some of you in time.

Good to meet you. Your interests fit in fine with the opportunities you'll have in Arizona. I'm sure you know what you are doing, but you will have fewer people looking over your shoulder telling you what you can and can't do when you live here. You will meet a lot of people who share your interests and are just plain fun to be with.Welcome.

Glad you will be here. You will enjoy the freedom, but it is costly in terms of vigilance. Please join the Citizens Defense League. It is cheap--about 50 bucks a year--and they fight hard for our rights. Join the fight if you can. Maybe I'll see you on the range or in the desert.

Just a much delayed update. After a couple of unexpected surgeries delaying my EAS by almost a year, I finally moved to southeast AZ last november and absolutely love it down here. Look forward to being on here a bit more frequently and maybe running into some of you on the range.

Glad you finally made it.   :thumbup   There are several of our members down your way and even a couple of retired marines as I recall so with any luck a few of them will weigh in as well.

As a political refugee from the Peoples Republik of Kalifornistan now living in Havasu I also welcome you. I found that refugees are welcome here but colonists are not.
