need a good gunsmith for a Rem 700
« on: June 12, 2016, 10:28:26 pm »
My son bought a new Rem 700.  First range trip it locked up after firing.  Only way we got the bolt back was to use a rod from the muzzle end.  Happened with all ammo tried (no reloads, factory ammo only.  Tried 3 different brands).  Call Remington and they had him send the gun to a warranty station.  They didn't even pay the $50 shipping.  5 weeks later he gets the gun back, but it is still jacked up.  He is going to hit them up for a return and refund, but if that fails is there a really good Rem rifle guru in town?

Thx
Rick

pretty sure not ammo issue because all was high-end factory ammo and all function fine in his other 257 Weatherby
