I have one of the instructors ranges reserved tomorrow...... Private training session fell through for a family..... So..... I have an open range tomorrow at Rio Salado Sportsmans Club.... I have the range from 8-12. I am asking for donations for the American Legion to support some Christmas gifts for deployed troops. $15

This is a Pistol, and Shotgun only range.

Sounds awesome. I have never been there (43+ miles/60 minutes for me). I am wondering what goes on out there. What kind of ranges are we talking about? Just 25 yard pistol with cardboard backing on stands or what?

They have all kinds of ranges out there. Love the place. The range we will be using is the instructors range/training bay.... So we won't be crowded and have a little more freedom. If you want to do some rifle stuff, the public range will be open tomorrow. Think they charge $8 or something like that. I like having the private range....more control for us.

yes... Cardboard backing/stands, etc.

Looks like we have a few for tomorrow.... We will be at training bay 2. I will be there about 7:30. I will have to check in and get some targets set up.
for the map.

Training bay 2 is located about where the black square is on this. Call my cell if you need more info. 480-540-3568 We have the range from 8-12.

How many people you have going to this? I would like to come out just to meet some others from the site and maybe fire off a few rounds from the old handgun. I don't have a shotty yet but I am planning on buying one after Christmas.

I have a bit of time in the morning, but any way I cut it, I can't make enough time to get out there from west Phoenix and get back in time for my other errands/chores. If this was happening Sunday I'd have all day.

I'm a little disappointed in my situation. I want to get out there and shoot with you guys.

Only a couple of folks made it, but a great time was had by all. Shot some guns.... Shot the Sh**. Shared some info. Thanks to those that made it, and to those that did not.... I will give more notice next time!

Sweet. Glad to hear it. You may end up with a 590A1 or 870 Magnum in the house before too long. But if it turns out to be a Benelli M4, I'll be glad to borrow it.

I had a great time today. Enjoyed shooting the shotgun and the S&W Shield. I think my next purchase will be a Shield. Enjoyed meeting some fellow community members as well. Hope to shoot with you all again soon.

I am relatively new to AZ (Survived my third summer), so getting out with the American Legion Riders, or fellow shooters is my way of getting to know the state. Have not been to Ben Avery yet.... Maybe in a couple of weeks!
