    What ever it is..... it is on that rock...and it attacked something at the top of the rock...watch at :02 and watch it run up the rock....

    I would say something way smaller than the coati.  A coati is as big as a racoon. Could be any number of snakes,  or larger scorpions, but the section of the tail I saw was too thin to be a coati.

    I think it's a zebra-tailed lizard.  Have seen several lately in the foothills.

    Agreed.  That and the fact that a coati's tail just doesn't curl up like that.  The tail in that video looks almost prehensile.

    I've been watching it on my large monitor.  The tail is sectional like a scorpion's.  About five seconds or so it jumps a little and appears to be stinging something.  I still vote Scorpion.

    You don't think it is way too big for a scorpion?  I must admit it does have scorpion like movement.
