New member, test post

This is a test post.  I'm new.  No idea how to use a forum but want to ask some questions and also buy and sell some stuff.

For some reason, this forum is not intuitive to me.  I'm trying to figure out how to post an ad.  I'm wondering: what is the method I use to post an ad?  What do I click on.  Where is there a link that says: "Start a new thread" or "create a new post".  I don't know what I'm not seeing.  This is already starting to piss me off.  Can't figure out where to start learning how to use the forum.  Any help would be appreciated.  I searched in here and also offsite for "how do I use a forum?"

I believe you need 5 posts before it let's you post an ad in in the for sale section. As for the posting a new topic, go into the section you want to post (Here in introductions is probably a good place so people see you and can assist if there are errors) and once in the section where you can see the topics of everyone, look up at the top right side and you should see New Topic. Select it, make a title and then fill out the the body. Once you are done, hit submit at the bottom and your message should post. Hope this helps.

As Amplifiedsoul points out, there is a 5 post minimum before you can post in the Marketplace.  This is mentioned in the posting rules at the top of each of the Marketplace boards.

Thank you all for your welcome and your help, forum members.  I had seen mention of a 5-post minimum, but then thought "nah, that can't be right".   I guess I'll have to start second-guessing all of my second-guesses. 

Thanks for appreciating my User Name.  I wanted it to be realistic and yet optimistic at the same time.  I wanted a t-shirt slogan that could be read easily--not too many words.   FYI (not a joke), I have preveiously and elsewhere registered my intent to and have since acted to secure my Copyright of the terms "Surviving Obamageddon", "I Survived Obamageddon", "We'll Survive Obamageddon", etc.  The extent of this intellectual property includes any two to four word phrase including any permutation of the word "Survive" combined with the word "Obamageddon" and any zero, one or two other words.  I will take orders for T-shirts with one of my copy-written "Surviving Obamageddon" statements.  Cost is $20/each.  Text is similar to the style for the title of the movie "Armageddon" starring Bruce Willis.  It makes a pretty nice looking T-shirt.
