While I agree about the mesquite coals, this one was seared in a cast iron pan and finished in a 375° oven for 8 minutes to a nice medium rare.

The potatoes were cooked in a similar skillet, but placed in the oven an hour before the steaks.   There were removed to add cheese, the placed back in along with the steaks.

Here are some videos I put on Facebook...

Just pointing out that there are actually those who would fight for a salad.  At least that's what it looked like on the National Geographic channel a while back.   ;-)

It's just some white cheddar from Trader Joe's I had lying around.  As a Catholic, I have to participate in some form of self-loathing from time to time...Back to normal now.

I remember drinking La Fin du Monde during a wild, lost, winter weekend in Montreal with my brother a few years ago.  When I woke up Sunday morning, I felt like it was La Fin du Monde.  Not even breakfast poutine could make me feel any better.  Dangerous stuff.

Dangerous indeed. If I had to compare it to anything else. It would be equal to a Champagne buzz and hangover. If that's my 3rd favorite beer  Just imagine how the 2nd and 1st would make make you feel.  :beer  :happydance :rockon :no :vomit :sleep
