Plenty of options available bro. I have a few vendors for NV stuff when you find out what you want/like. Gen 2 or 3 is a must. Little more money than gen 1 but well worth it IMHO.

I forget what model I have but I have a ATN. It's great in the city but bushes get fuzzy in the desert. I could I.d. people with facial hair out to 300 yards. I had the combo off the rifle of course.

Are you looking for a clip on night sight or a helmet mounted monocular?

I have used the ATN Night Scout recently....Its a binocular and it seemed pretty good.....Think they retail from 600-1000 depending on different specs and models...

Just like any high end optic, you usually get what you pay for. $1k is definitely a good starting point. If I had your wallet, I'd spend $1,500 to $2,000.

I always liked my PVS14s. I think they run about $3500. I figured for a hunt some thermals would really rock. Hike in at 4am before daybreak glass for heat spots follow them and wait for light. Thermals are pricey though.

I won't buy NV unless I can get a great setup. (Like 3-4k).

Also if you plan on putting NV on a magnified scope make sure it's a variable power. Over seas my team had a SR25 if we cranked the power over 5power it got real grainy. The sweet spot was 4x. Man I miss that setup.

    Ha thx guys.
I would like it as a scope itself or mountable to my other scopes. Like  mentioned before being able to ID game in the dark would give a huge advantage.
