Slide Fire stock
« on: September 05, 2012, 08:14:32 PM »
Had the opportunity last weekend to fire an AK-47 with a slide fire stock installed.  What fun!  Got me to wondering though, if anyone knows of plans to make one for a .22?  I doubt the recoil is enough to make it work, but does anyone know of anything?

I think the recoil is sub par..If you could bump fire a 10/22 then its possible but I've never seen it and dont know if it could be done.Curious to hear what others think. I would also be concerned with the saftey aspect of running rimfire rounds at "full auto". What happens if it stove pipes and sets one off.. Not super educated but have seen a .22 round go through a leg first hand (not mine) while a guy was trying to clear a ruger 10/22 that had chambered two rounds. Went off and came out the mag well right into his upper thigh....

I like the slide fire stocks for the ARs, and AK-47......but only if they were roughly half the price.

Oh yeah.....seen it on a M&P 15-22. Works just fine.
