Any experience with Laser training tools?
« on: May 14, 2015, 06:54:07 pm »
Does anyone have experience with using lasers for training? As a poor student and new shooter, I can't really afford to blow through ammo at the range. I figured it would be good to use a laser like laserlyte's trainer cartridge that goes in the barrel to practice target acquisition and trigger control, then I can work on recoil management and follow up shots with live rounds so I won't be wasting rounds on inaccurately placed shots. I like the idea of using a SIRT gun or an airsoft but they don't make them in M&P Shield models.

Basically, these things emit a laser blip when the firing pin hits it.

Agreed. I've got several of those cheap brass bore sighters but the but they're never accurate beyond 10 feet, the batteries die in 15 minutes and NOT meant for dry fire practice.

They're just meant to put you on paper for fine(gross IMHO) sight adjustments.

Bullets are the only things that do their job only after they're fired.
