the young man in me can't wait to move to Az
« on: May 31, 2015, 06:05:29 am »
Once I get to Arizona the 9 yo boy in me will have to buy brass knuckles, switchblade and throwing stars. My wife has also insisted she wants a switchblade and throwing stars. I assume the throwing stars are covered under the knife laws.

To my knowledge, yes.  I don't think throwing stars are mentioned specifically in the ARS at all.

From my understanding, the only thing you can't carry here are nunchucks. You can own and train with them, but not carry them as a weapon. When transported they need to be in something like your gym bag so you can take them to your training or competition location.
Throwing stars, brass knucks, saps, switchblades, etc are all good to go here
Heat it till it's hot, then beat it with a hammer until it's the shape you want.    Blacksmith's advice that works for pretty much everything in life

Bought cheap throwing stars at a local knife shop back in the 80s, still see them in a few places. Yes, nun-chucks are verboten...only thing that is, which is weird. Someone must have killed themselves with them trying to do a Bruce Lee in the 70s. :woot However, a three section staff is perfectly legal to carry, same as a kusari-gama, if you so choose.

Not to thread drift, but I've always found that funny regarding nunchuks, the only people I know who can use them without being a greater threat to themselves than others are generally responsible enough not to worry about it.  Lol
I know where my towel is.
