There is a 2011-2017 BMW X3 spare tire kit that can be purchased. They make these "emergency kits for almost all BMW models. You can even order the replacement cargo floor tub that is molded to accommodate the spare tire. The jack etc. is sold separately.

I drive a BMW also but got rid of the RFTs the day I took delivery of the car as I also changed wheels. Factory warranty is not affected at all.

$500.00 would be a ridiculous amount of money for that style of tire. probably 245/50/18 My car runs a "Y" Rated 275/30/20 & 245/35/20 that can be had at Discount for $200.00

Luckily BMW has superb warranty service and you can change those out when you need to.
