1M ARs sold in 2014?
« on: June 24, 2016, 09:50:00 am »
This is a pretty interesting thread attempting to break down ATFs 2014 manufacturing report.  The Arfcom folks estimate 1M ARs and 200k stripped lowers sold in 2014.

It must just be me, but the accepted estimates for the number of ARs in private hands seem low to me.

I don't think it's low or high. There's a few people with 3 or 4 stripped lowers (or more) sitting around for a day when they feel like building a new rifle. There's also a few holding onto them like they're black gold.
Have you considered the possibility that pathological narcissism is genetic?

I had five at one point.  I ended up giving them all away for free at various times.
