Title: Ammo availability is getting better
Post by: KingGlamis on February 28, 2021, 08:18:28 pm
Today Bass Pro had a bunch of different calibers on the shelf at normal prices and I have seen several local gun stores restocking their shelves with ammo. It's too early to tell if this is a long term good thing but so far it looks like it is a good thing. I also noticed the prices have come down on Ammoseek and the availability has gone up. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I'd love to believe and agree with you, but it still remains slim-pickins here in Tucson.  Most shops are limiting purchases to one box per caliber and that's assuming they have anything at all.

They turned the ammo shelving at Scottsdale Gun Club into a clothing rack...

Not much there this afternoon.  Looking for 9mm FMJ rounds, only found a small pile of JHP 150gr ammo.  Small pile of 10mm and a couple other calibers, low qty's.  Checkout dude says there always a long line waiting to get in early before opening.

I found 13 boxes of 7.62 Tokarov ammo last Thurs for $21 a box. Pretty happy about that since I'd been looking for months.

Ive been scoring 9mm lately when it was impossible a few months ago.

I started a Telegram channel "Phoenix Ammo Trolls", @phoenixammo . Look it up and join, we can give notifications of where has ammo in stock.

Glad to hear more ammo is trickling out onto store shelves.

Haven't personally seen much in the form of critical reloading components (mostly referring to primers).

Yesterday my local gun store let me buy four boxes of ammo instead of the usual one per day. Life is almost back to normal. LOL

Glad to be seeing this.

I get daily sales emails from some gun websites, and I'm seeing prices coming down back to earth a little as well.

Looks like we are moving in the right direction, finally...

I stopped at a local pawnshop and they had all kinds of ammo. I almost bought some UNTIL...imagine a box of 20 Winchester White Box FMJ 55gr .223 going for $24.99? Seriously. 50 rounds of generic 22lr for $9.99. I smiled and thanked them for their time - I use them all the time for transfers since they have the cheapest transfers anywhere, and P-Mags are very reasonable, but wow.
Now if I could just find PRIMERS....

Scottsdale Gun Club had cases of PMC 115 FMJ for $998. No member discount. Thank god for Mike Dillon.

The problem with our slowly improving ammo resources seems, at least to me, to be only a partial victory.  Ammo pricing is still fuggen outrageous.

The most recent case of PMC 9mm I purchased last year cost me about $350, or 35 cents per round.  In the last ad I saw from SGC, pricing for a 1000 round case of PMC was listed for $970, or 97 cents per round. That is still thoroughly and utterly ridiculous pricing.  :cursing

They're absolutely nuts... the bastards should bust open the boxes and part it out so it actually sells instead of sitting there... that's a lot that could go around on that pallet, by single boxes.

We may be luckily to even be able to even buy ammo.  If you want it, buy it.  If you don't want it, don't buy it.

GOT IT AT NOVEMBER PRICES!!!!!

Which still sucks compared to what it used to be but half the price of scalpers on Armslist

I bought some CCI 22LR from Sportsmans Warehouse . The pissy kid tells me I can only buy one since it was 100 rounds. Since when is 100 rounds buying bulk?!

Ducey is still a leftist gash.  I'm planning on voting for a Democrat just to remove him from office.

I don't think that he eligible to run again.
Just my opinion, but I think anyone that votes democrat loves killing the heartbeat of unborn babies.

:rotfl

These little ass hats... replace them with robot self checkouts or older people who can appreciate working with and around guns and ammo. I can't stand it.

100 rounds isn't bulk at all.

I once had a 454 Ruger Toklat a few years ago now. Hell of a gun. No real reason to have it other than wanted it... so I went to Cabela's and picked up various rounds... the little pissy weenie armed smart ass behind the counter looks at the box and it specified "Bear Loads". He goes very shitty, "You expecting to be attacked by bears in Phoenix?" (Now I can take a joke and love joking around but he said it like an asshole, with no hint of joking). So I told him, "well it works on sarcastic assholes too." The rest of that transaction was silent from there on. I say screw the little pissants. Most of them seem utterly useless. Many I've come across in these stores don't seem to be shooters or the outdoors types.

Ducey is still a leftist gash.  I'm planning on voting for a Democrat just to remove him from office.

He'll be gone soon enough. He also knows he's not wanted cause he was gonna seek other office here and decided not to...

It speaks volumes when you consider that Ducey is personal friends with Cindy McCain.

I stopped in at Sportsman's at North 27 St Phoenix they had at least 6 pallets of .308 and .556 in bulk stacked in the aisle.
