While you clowns were arguing the merits of using the gov't to impose your will upon private entities, I was camping on the Mogollon Rim...

Nice.  We were just a little south of you in the Prescott Nat'l. Forest.   We got rain - did you?

We got some rain on and off Friday.  Mostly cloud cover on Saturday with light sprinkles, then it cleared up just before sundown.

Friday afternoon we got some pretty intense pea-sized hail for about 15 minutes.

I was up at Whitehorse Lake. We had a few thunderstorms roll through but they never lasted more than a few minutes at a time.

Apparently they had a big rain where we were a few days before we arrived.  The bugs were horrendous but it was nice to get out of the heat in the valley.  Nighttime lows dropped into the 50's and the new tent did really well - no rain or bugs inside.   :yes

We had a pretty good time out at White Horse. That's my Dad, one of my aunts, and about half the youngest generation of the family represented.

That second pic must have been some of the Perseid meteor shower. I think it was supposed to be peaking around this time.

There were some noticeable meteors out there, but there are none in that picture.  They'd appear as long, bright white lines.

I got a few pictures with meteors in them and they just muck up the image when they aren't in just the right place.
