Nope its still in the gun.....
Im 95% sure its my issue though...based on internet research..

Im just trying to find the spring before i send it out to be fixed so i dont waste money on something that cant be replaced..

Im hesitant on tearing it apart myself because ive never broken down a shotgun before and the only decent video i found with this shotgun has the dude in it saying "oh where did that come from" and never shows where it came from.

You might try calling Jack First up in South Dakota.  They have tons of oddball stuff but you can't search the catalog online so you'll either have to order on or call the shop.     www.jackfirstgun.com      (605) 343-9544   ask for Becky, Nancy or Nora .

If it's a wire spring, fabricating a new one should be within the skill range of any decent gunsmith. If it's a flat spring you'd need a good gunsmith.

It should be pretty close to the Stevens 820B. Savage and Stevens merged around the Vietnam war and the same SG was designated the model M77E. Here's a Youtube video showing the lifter prawler spring assembly. I helped a buddy work on one (M77E) many years back. Hope this helps ya.
