New Service - threading shotgun barrels for chokes
« on: August 26, 2016, 10:59:51 AM »
Thanks to the investment of one great customer, I now have tooling to thread 12 gauge shotgun barrels for original equipment and aftermarket replacement choke tubes from Win-Choke, Browning Invector®, Mossberg Accu-Choke®, Weatherby and Colonial Arms.

Price for the service is $100 per barrel including a new choke tube of your choice.

You are one of the few in the state that does this for that thread pattern. Vang Comp, for as big as they are on shotgun, only do Remington thread. I think Harm was saying he needed something threaded at one point too, if he hasn't hit you up already  :-)

A little before and after? Just in time for Dove season opener tomorrow!

Now it may not feel like I am swinging a musket around. Thanks Jesse!

For anyone who has never held the Salvo, even in the picture its hard to really judge how big the thing is. For reference, the shorter barrel + salvo is longer than the stock barrel.

If someone wants a Rem-Choke cut, I'll do that too. First customer will have a longer wait on that one because I'll need a different reamer. Fortunately they use the same tap, which is half the tooling cost.

Dude, you have to record that and share. That sounds awesome.
Bullets are the only things that do their job only after they're fired.

It is really quiet. I used it last season on the longer barrel and my only complaint was trying to lug it around. With the sling, it kept flopping forward. It worked great, just kind of obnoxious. I haven't shot it with the shorter barrel yet, but hopefully I get to shoot a bit tomorrow morning =)

Here is a video of another guy shooting:

Personally, having grown up and shooting shot guns all my like, I would feel like I was shooting a BB gun with one of those.
