OMG, no matter how much I clean the barrels on my sub-guns I cannot get the copper fouling from the land & grooves! Brush & brush, still there! M-PRO 7, M-PRO 7 copper cleaner, Hoppes, etc. Does anything work or do I just live with it?

Wipe Out works extremely well for me:

Also, I've used CLR, which also does a great job on carbon.

In the shop I like to use Shooters Choice or Sweets as they both contain ammonia which will strip out copper. Use it very carefully as it will strip off finish on wooden stocks.

I used Sweets on my HK53 and my M4. It worked well

Another vote for Sweets. Works well for me.
