Athlon Rifle scopes
« on: April 30, 2018, 08:01:26 am »
Has anyone used an Athlon riflescope?  I am looking at this one.
I like the reticle.
The similar vortex reticle is over $1k.  I just need to know if these are quality scopes and if anyone has dealt with the company at all with warranty issues.
If your are always prepared for an emergency, it seems an emergency will never arise.

Terrible turrets. The offset hash marks are annoying. The eye box was very very unforgiving. Overall feel wasn’t impressive

I have tons of scopes.. everything from a Schmidt and bender PMII to an Athlon Argos.

If you have questions about Athlon scopes please let me know. I have almost all of them and they are NOT all good however they are also NOT all bad.

My favorite of their line is the Ares ETR, I have two of these. They are superb.

I also have a chronos BTR and it’s nice but not as nice as the Ares.

If you or anyone wants to put their eye behind one and compare it to any of my other scopes just let me know!

I just recently moved from Maryland to Arizona and removed all of my optics to pack them separately from rifles, this pic was 1/2 way through the “de scoping” process

Ran a Athlon on my Stealth 6.5 Creedmoor and was very happy with it for the price. Glass is nice and eye relief was good. Not the best, but not the worst by any means.
