He is a negotiator par excellent.  From all reports, he is well respected in the NFA community.  I have had one interaction with him.   I was going to sell an NFA item, but we couldn't agree on price.  Pure business.

Rubin, dealernfa.com, has been around for a long time. As anm2_man has said, Rubin is all business. He is not always liked, but he is respected.

He is very respected.  I purchased a couple weapons when I was a NFA dealer.  He does sell high and buy low.  But that is business.

One more point, there are only about 171,000 full auto guns that the public can own.  So if you are trying to buy a M16, UZI, MAC or MP5 you are not going to get a good deal as they are the most popular guns out there.  Be careful at buying weird caliber guns as ammo is expensive.  I have an American 180 and it burns through ammo at 25 rounds a second (300 round drum gone in 12 seconds).  But they are just .22's.  I remember when I could goto Walmart and buy bricks for less than $5.  I own a WWII gun and ammo is $1 per round.  If you own a 50 caliber you are probably going to pay $2-3 per round.  Fun goes by fast.
