Tactical Training Courses
« on: December 09, 2020, 12:47:26 am »
I'm a volunteer with my church security team.  I'm interested in advance tactical training.  Are there any local facilities in the Phoenix area which offer courses geared specifically towards active shooter/church security scenarios?  Thanks

Dan

I always hear a guy on a morning show I listen to talk about a place called tactical black. I don’t have personally know of any but maybe that can help you get somewhat started.

Check with C2 Tactical Range, Shooters World, Sportsman's Warehouse, Cabelas, etc. They may have just what you are looking for.

Howdy! Gunsite up in Paulden has some in February. They are a bit pricey and lengthy at $2K & 5 days, but Gunsite is a pioneer in civilian self defense and from founder Jeff Cooper to greats like the late great Louis Awerbuck, I trust them completely.

I went to a Strategos International Church Safety training in Casa Grande in February.

There were almost 200 people there. It was more of a broad overview of active shootrr scenarios.  Sometimes they come into town to do a full assessment of your church and also active shooter simulations.

They also do live fire training.  Check them out.

Hit up Oz Johnson at Johnson Group Tactical.  If he can't accommodate the level you are looking for, he knows who can.

AZCDL may have discounts for Frontsight. They usually have a group go there. If you live in AZ you should be a member.
