I have always loaded my own ammo but have noticed prices for new are up which is OK but are 9mm really $1.00 or less per shot?

Currently about 80¢ a round for 9mm
5.56 is $1.12ish

I don't imagine people are shooting like they used to because of the cost. I know it is harder to get also.

Airguns of Arizona still had plenty of pellets in stock just before Christmas but the prices were up for that stuff too.

There's a place in Utah that sells some pretty spiffy Airguns. Some up to the big calibers like .44.
They are pricey for Airguns if you are use to a Red Ryder BB Gun with a compass in the stock and a thing which tells time, but when you start to line them up to nice firearms, they aren't so bad. I'd never make it my "go to" gun, but given the current political state, it might be time for more gun safes to start making room for one or two of these.

Why reload 9mm they ssid. It's so cheap they said. Whos the smart one now that bougt 4k 124hp bullets two years ago?

Yeah if you can't get in on a reputable company, you'll be gouged for sure.

I've made the decision to get back into 9mm. Ordered a bulk pack and paid .60/round. More expensive than it should be but lot less than the ass clowns out there killing you with over charging.

Just gotta look and jump on a good price...

Tip. Ammoseek.com allows you to create alerts with a price per round so if any retailer goes below the alert level that you set it at they "alert" you. But if you want to take advantage of it you have to be quick. Today Bass Pro put 30-06 at 99 cents a round. But by the time I checked my phone it was already sold out.

That's the thing - you need an alert and to be comfortable buying at prices where the free market is running with them. Alerts by themselves are no good because if you are getting 30-06 at 99¢ a round, so are thousands of other people. UGH!

My observation is that the bullets that I’ve bought (in bulk recently) aren’t any more expensive than they were pre-election and pre-COVID. It’s the primers and powder that have shot up in price. I had planned to stock up at the beginning of last year for the election-COVID merely moved my buying up in time. A friend was getting out of reloading (memory issues and reloading go together like oil and water) and I bought up every bit of powder he had that might be useful to me. I’m sitting pretty on handgun powder and rifle powder. Used up all my small pistol primers loading over 4K in cartridges. Need brass and bullets for 30-06, but that’s the relatively inexpensive stuff to get. I’ve got thousands of rifle primers and thousands of large pistol primers stored.

I am surprised that 22lr increases so much as well. I thought I couldn't buy more ammo in a responsible manner back then, but man, do I regret not buying more. Lol!

I saw Stingers listed at $1.40 per round.

I have a couple bricks I would sell. I really don't like them. Velocitors were going for $1.60 per round. They were listing 50 round boxes for the price a brick used to be. Probably why they have them in stock.
I have an ad for 2 guns and ammo for $1400 in classified and the ammo is worth close to $1000 at the new prices.
