Who manufactured the lower?
I've never seen an AR without a dust cover.

There are a few companies. Those cheap dpms oracles didn’t have a dust cover or forward assist.

I had a DB (Diamond Back) without one too.

There are a few manufacturers that make them without.

Yup I guess , but I like em that way. My main AR shooter is the same with a light barrel. I have no need for a forward assist , it creates problems. I have no need for a action cover My environment is not that bad.
Bayo mount , front sight , nah. Mounting spots all over the gun ? Nope. just the rail on top and the gas block . I don't need want any of the stuff guys bolt all over these guns . Threaded barrel is only if you need brakes or flash hiders or "cans".. I can't afford or need a "can "and everything else just makes it louder.

Basically it's an AR with the stuff I don't need striped off .

And boy does it make it easier to clean after a day of grubbying it up all day .

I think it's interesting how some think an AR isn't "really" an AR unless it has the dust cover, ejection bump (that creases casing making reloading more challenging) and the forward assist.

But if you put those same features on any other firearm, they would look absolutely out of place and scare people off. Can you imagine Gaston Glock embracing perfection on the side of a G-19 with a dust cover? Lets stick the ejection bump on an M1 Garand. I'm sure it will finally become a complete rifle. Everyone knows a lever gun needs a forward assist on the side.

All three examples would become the most despised firearms in existence drawing vitriol and hatred from every corner of the gun-forum world. But for some reason not just one, but all three have to be on an AR.

I showed this to my daughter last night to see if she was interested. She's a poor college student so no where close to having the scratch. But for what it's worth, she liked it.

Good luck with the sale or with the eventual return to the safe, what ever direction you decide to take it.

There are quite a few companies that make slick side upper AR15 receivers, not just DPMS. The original M16 retro Vietnam carry handle upper was slick side, but I think they stuck on forward assist during the war? Then the shell deflector and dust covers? So now all the modern AR15 uppers have them so people think that is the normal, but like I said more companies coming out with AR15 slick side uppers with no forward assist, no, shell deflector and optional dust covers right?

If it doesn't have those things, is it really Military "Style?" Hmmm...? This might be a loophole AR in 6 months.

That was kind of my not so subliminal message in the wording. That and well , sarcasm is fun.

Bump for a lower price and study the pictures as they will disappear tomorrow.

Is a "naked" AR right for you ?
