    Most all SASS targets are T1 plate. It is much cheaper ($) than AR500, about 1/2 the Brinell of AR500 and is only suitable for standard velocity handguns and lead shot shells. Most magnum handgun and most rifle cartridges, if they do not punch a hole, will generally create a fairly large dimple or crater.
    T1 is easy to weld, so you can weld up the hole, but relegate the target to standard handgun cartridges (velocities) only.
