Only 2 people posted yesterday and one today by 4:20pm. I know there a couple of members that are very annoying but are they driving everyone away? What is happening with this Forum?

Personally, i think a big part of it is the format. Just not mobile friendly. For whatever reasons... doesn't matter. It just isnt.
The other forum i am on most of the time has several AZ folks that are/were on this forum. They post all the time.

I'm a recent member...haven't moved to AZ but will next year. I stop by the Forum daily to see if there's any discussions going on that I find interesting. I'll be in AZ for a week soon and plan on hitting the gun sho in Wickenburg just to see how AZ gunshots are. They gotta be better than here in Marylandstan.

I am also still on Calguns. +/- 1,000 new threads/replies every day. Granted, I only look at 2-3% of them.
I'm on another firearm forum that has maybe 10 posts a week.
Quality vs quantity.

An easy assumption to make would be that many of the people who participate on this forum have lives outside of this forum.

Probably many reasons why, the weather is nice, people traveling / out on vacation, life gets busy, etc. I check in about every day to see what's going on and to see what's new.

This is the second time you've created a thread about others not creating threads or posting. Have you thought about creating threads about shooting related topics that you find interesting?

I stopped posting as I find this forum too micromanaged and concerned with "tone" and safe spaces. I'll just lurk for the marketplace.

Only thing we slowed down was the rhetoric of the political posts.
This is a gun forum, not a political one.

While I do understand that politics and guns do coexist…. A lot of what was being posted and brought up.. was not needed in a gun forum..

I'm on the Colt Forum and a couple of car forums...no politics, religion or personal attacks are allowed. Violating those rules will get you the ban hammer for a week or more. Members are usually very polite subject-wise and personally. It works. I'm also on the Maryland Shooters Forum...extremely active and pretty much the Wild West...just about anything goes...and there's enough knuckleheads that abuse it and keyboard commandos that know everything and try to impress everyone with that. There's also enough thoughtful and knowledgeable people there to keep things interesting.

I'm new here and would prefer to see it remain polite and interesting.

Same here. I think most of us do to be honest. I'll try to add more content but it's hard to find something that hasn't already been discussed here or there.

I used to be a member on one of the 1911 forums. Their rules were so strict that I once got temporarily banned for responding to new member introductions in the freakin new member forum.

Sadly there are a lot of gun forums that are infinitely more strict in their interpretation of the rules than we are. Personally, if I really wanted to wade knee deep into the political quagmire I'd create myself an account on Fakebook and Twatter. I kind of like the fact that the preferred focus here is on guns rather than on the idiots and ideologues that run this country.

Everything is sounding like this forum needs to be updated and redone. One of the best designed, administrated and moderated that I have seen is the "TJ Wrangler Forum" done by Chris.

So kind of you to ask where I went this weekend! I was out camping in the desert, doing off-roading and shooting type things. Enjoying the amazing weather. I shot my Henry 45-70 lever for the first time and absolutely LOVE it! Also shot my AR pistol chambered in 7.62x39 for the first time. Love it too. A buddy of mine was surprised that it was louder than my 45-70, but I wasn't, I knew it would be louder. Funny story about that AR pistol... it is brand new and I forgot to put any sort of sights on it. So my point of aim depended on the previous dust cloud from where the bullet hit the dirt. LOL

I personally would like more threads about "what did you shoot this weekend and how did it go" rather than just what did you buy.

Are you volunteering to spearhead this rather significant task?

I've been involved in forum software upgrades in the past. It's a SIGNIFICANT effort on somebodies part given that these forums are essentially big databases with a "user friendly" front end.

i'm on occassionally, way too many folks referencing the shiate hole cali, no matter why you came here you bring little nuances of your kali bullshiate, its whats going to destroy what was free Arizona.
