PSA AK-V
« on: November 04, 2021, 08:52:12 am »
anyone have one or have shot one? i hate PSA and there lack of consistent quality but it seems like they may have something within the AK-V. Im not a PCC fan at all but to have my daughter compete or my girlfriend i think theyd enjoy it.

ill add i will not do an AR9 as they are like the 308 AR platform where not all parts interchange. and can be very problematic. I have alot of time on a CMMG Banshee and cant stand it.

Owned one, sold it after a few range trips

Just didn’t love it - I much prefer my 7.62x39 AK’s. I will say it functioned perfectly from the go and Id have put money on it continuing to do so.

I’m not the biggest fan of full sized rifles in pc setups but like you said, liked the idea of having something that everyone can shoot and enjoy without too much blast and recoil (lol).

I’ve got nothing against Palmetto but understand they’ve been known to produce some lemons in the past. They’re probably doing more than any other company to arm Americans right now at an affordable price!

I would argue that the AK-V is just as proprietary as AR9. Yeah, some parts are interchangeable but not all. I would opt for the real deal and get a KP-9. If you add a brace it comes out to a little over same price as the PSA.

I have one and love it.  Same mags as my Scorp and AR-V.  I already have too many stick different mags for firearms, that get mixed up.  I didn't need to add any more.

The AK-V runs perfectly, loud or suppressed.  The PSA mags interchange perfectly with AR-V & Scorpion  Magpul Scorp mags are the only mag I had any issues with in all 3 guns.

The AK-V is as accurate as other 9mm AKs.  It is heavy when compared to the Scorp or AR-V, just like the Kalashnikov

Are you planning to SBR it? Last time I looked the ATF was serious about banning braced pistols.

The Scorp. is SBRd, haven't decided on the AK-V & AR-V yet.
