Hello from WA!
« on: December 29, 2021, 03:43:53 pm »
Hello there,
My wife and I live in Western WA but are planning to move to AZ.
Two weeks ago we visited our friends who live at the Sun City Festival and loved the place even though we are aware of the summer heat, wiich we hope would be better for our arthritis that constant rain and gray sky. :-\
It was also a great relief for us to see Free Country where there are no masks, or jab mandates, or anti-2nd "laws".
As soon as we find jobs in the area, we will move there.
We are both naturalized American citizens from Russia; therefore, jokes about bears drinking vodka and playing balalaika are always welcome! ;-)
We are not new to firearms and have a few in our collection, mostly semi-autos: ARs, Glocks and such. I carry LCP .380 and I plink every weekend with my Tippmann M4-22 Micro Elite and Kel-Tec CP33.

Welcome, spent some time in Western WA at Ft Lewis and then working for the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.  Beautiful country ruined by liberals...

More the merrier! Came from Tacoma myself a long time ago. Have lived all over the state, currently in Tucson for the 3rd time. About the only thing I miss is Frisko Freeze and good seafood.

I'm a soon to be resident of AZ as well.  The timetable is to move to Sun City West next September after our house there completes remodeling.  We'll be escaping the People's Republic of Marylandstan.

The smell, no, the fog and view of the bay, yes. I lived near Stadium for a number of years in a high rise, then my parents decided they wanted a yard so we moved out to Lakewood. This was when Lakewood was nice, or at least way nicer than now.

     Welcome from Saddlebrooke.
We came a few years back.
Sadly, many others from Washington have brought their politics and liberal ideas here.
It is difficult to understand why they cant see the difference is the reason they moved here.

    Thank you everyone for greetings!
Alright, we finally made it! Last Sunday, April 11th, after driving for two days through OR, ID and windy NV, we arrived at Buckeye!
Nope, we did not bring any liberal BS with us!  ;-)
We love the house, although there are few things needed to be fixed, such as dead sprinkler controller, so I had to order a replacement from Amazon. Until it arrives, I run the system in the manual mode for 15 min. every morning.
    No biggie!
We love the community. We even love the 90’s temperature. The same 90’s in Seattle are miserable, because of humidity. Here? We enjoy it. So, I guess we will survive 120-ish too!
The community is so quiet and our big backyard is full of trees and bushes, and a lots of signing birds every morning.
Now I have two tasks to be done.
First, I need to find a good place nearby to buy a gun safe.
Second, I need a FT job.
I was running CNC machine shop’s and assembly department’s toolroom for last ten years, including purchasing for the whole company, operating industrial laser etcher, forklifts, overhead cranes.
I, also, worked at the gun counter for a year before that. I am good with most common computer apps and programs and have good communication skills, so besides blue collar jobs, I could do some clerical work as well.
So, I would very much appreciate l if anyone could give me a hint on one or both of these tasks!
    Cheers!
