That's only about $50 more than I paid for the last one I had - we've all done it, let one go and then thought a little while later "crap, I really want that back"

I also do not see these getting cheaper, my SKS cost me $99 when I bought it and has climbed over the years to what I consider ridiculous.

That's about what the last one I ordered from AIM surplus went for when you include shipping.

If would all come down to interest, I have none for the Enfields but I like me some Mosin - except for that dumb revolver :pfft

What a coincidence! I just sent my wife today to pick me up a Mosin. I came across it and it was a good deal so she picked it up for me. I hope she did. I remember being able to get these for $90 and if you bought a crate, even cheaper. Same thing with the SKS. Oh, the good ol' days.

Oh the good ol' days I remember buying a "hand select" sks (norinco) for what I thought was a high price back in early 1992 for $89. I sold it last year with 500 rounds of ammo & three 30 round mags for $250. I thought it was a fair price as I never used it anyways ( maybe had 150 rounds fired out of it.) I guess others liked the deal also it was snapped up in 13 minutes after being posted. Now I see beat up sks's going for $400+ used?

That sale will haunt me for years to come - I liked it, and for a chinese sks it shot well even with 1965ish crap ammo I was getting 5.5 to 9 inch groups @ 100 yards with stock sights from a bench rest.

My first rifle after the .22 single shot bolt was an SKS in Tennessee. I was 14 or 15 and my brother had a Winchester 30/30 and the SKS. We loaded up the SKS first and shot the hell out of it. On another post I posted how it would do a 2 round round burst while shooting at not rapid but a fast pace. Never shot a Mosin and Can't wait to. I heard nothing but good things about them.
