Not sure if this handoff it to a mate to take back or to a younger owl.

Very well could be for a hatchling this time of year.  Great pics - as usual.   :thumbup   Hope you guys get some monsoon rains soon to help with the fires north of you and to keep things from flaring up in your neighborhood.

I love this video...make full screen if you can.  I happened  to be coming out of the garage when he was on the steps so he fled.

This rat has a lot of nerve staring a GHO in the face.

They seem to be pretty solitary before the rut unless they're yearlings.  Looks healthy though.   :thumbup

Yup.  Sneaky and fast but we didn't get to see if the strategy paid off.   :hmm   Thanks for the pics anyway.   ;-)

I really like that one. Has "AZ Highways" or a post card written all over it. Are you selling some if these yet? If not, you should.

Az Highways posted one last month as their photo of the day which was cool.  I just sold three fix pics to Desert Leaf magazine... should be out in August.  I have had about 10 of my favs printed in 24x36 at a lab in New York and they look fantastic.  I have had some people wanting to purchase them so we shall see..fun though.

I don't think he was fast enough.  He walked around to much before he sat down.  Field mice are faster than a speeding bullet, the cat not so much !
