IDPA at Phoenix Rod & Gun Club
« on: July 19, 2013, 03:41:49 pm »
Anyone going tomorrow?  I got invited but I'm trying to find a holster for my Sig 226.  Anyone interested in going?

Anyone got a holster for a Sig P226R?
I know where my towel is.

Wish I would have seen this, I would have gone with you. I think Saturdays are match days and Tuesdays are more for practice but either way, it's a fine time for sure.

I had a blast.  Did pretty well my first time out running my 228 iwb and no mag pouches - just like I ccw.  I finished 13th overall & 4th in my division.
I know where my towel is.

I've thought about getting into IDPA.  What do you have to do to get started?

Gun usually helps :rotfl but I hear you can bring a knife, although it's not recommended ahahahah

So in all seriousness you need at the min:
    Eye and ear pro
    good range bag
    Sidearm of choice (min 9MM)
Couple mags (would suggest at least 3)
Magazines pouch is a plus, but as you can see not a mandatory item
good attitude and the willingness to learn something new

If you ever give up your day job, you can work at the comedy club (I hear they need someone to clean the tables afterwards).

Seriously, I've got all of that stuff, three mags is a requirement in my job.  Guess I'll have to drop in and check it out.

What's your schedule like? There's matches Tuesday, Thursday and 1 Saturday a month I think.

I try to hit the steel match every other Thursday. Won't be there this week, because I'm working on super secret target stuff...

Every Thursday night, about 100-120 rounds of nothing but awesomeness!

    It's so addicting!

The last two weeks I've been having a bit of a problem but I'm hoping to be ready to go again soon.
I know where my towel is.
