p64 cleaning
« on: November 11, 2013, 11:13:56 am »
So i tried searching the web and it showed me mostly stuff for sale. Have an easy question though. Can i use the same wire tip brush i use for a 9mm×19 for the polish with the 9mm×18? Thanks

Are you talking about the wire brushes used to clean the barrel?

I don't see why not. You could even use a larger diameter bore brush just along as you push the brush all the way through the bore and not stop and pull it out.
Bullets are the only things that do their job only after they're fired.

A brush for a 9x19 is going to be a little loose in a 9x18's bore since the Makarov round is 0.10" bigger, but it won't hurt anything. A 10mm/.40 brush might work a little better.

It shouldn't be a issue. 9mm is 9mm the x19 vs x18 is only the length of the chamber and as Jesse said .10 larger bore on the 9x18 won't  be a issue. I have had bore brushes vary in size .25 for what are marked the same size. Sometimes the wire is longer on some but it hasn't effected my cleaning on bit.
