C&R Turn around
« on: February 09, 2014, 01:07:20 pm »
Mailed mine off on January 7th, got it back on February 8th. Pretty fast turn around on it and super easy. If you are still sitting around thinking about doing it, take the 15 minutes and get it done.

^^ Agree.  It's caveman easy to do, and the turn-around is pretty quick.

I'm thinking about getting a C&R but I have some reservations.
#1-Will it open my home easier to ATF inspection?
#2-Since you send your info to the local LE, as a gun owner is there a chance of my address ending up on a public list or in the wrong hands?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. :-)

While the C&R provides the ATFE the ability to inspect C&R weapons, it does not give them free and unfettered access to your home.  If they want to inspect your C&R weapons, and only your C&R weapons, they have to coordinate the visit with you.

In regards to the ATFE inspecting bound books and C&R collection, I had a C&R for a few years and never had them contact me for a inspection. Not sure if I got lucky or not, just thought I'd put that out there.

How old does it have to be for it to be C&R?
