Got my KP-15 polymer lower today. Shown with my old Colt upper. Fit and finish is great. Take down pins go in and out perfectly. It does make the gun feel front heavy. I will smooth out the edges of the mag well as they are not perfect, but other than that, pretty happy. Shown next to my Rock River for comparison.

I bought a 43X mos, Savage 72 crackshot and a rusty Stevens 200 in .223 that will be chopped then have my suppressor mount pin & welded to 16"
Bullets are the only things that do their job only after they're fired.

Considering where you work, that's cheating. LOL.

After reviewing the RCBS 44 mag dies I received, and all internet info I could find, they are screwed beyond repair. I ordered a new set from RCBS Direct, delivery expected tomorrow.

The dies had been given to a neighbor by a widow. He had nothing to do with them being screwed, and couldn't do anything about it anyway. Writing this one off to friendship.

Should be up and running making 44 mag ammo by Saturday afternoon. Had choice between taper crimp, and roll crimp. Chose roll crimp because the ammo will be in a tubular Carbine magazine. Should tame any setback due to recoil.

I bought a surplus French Legion army helmet for $30. Am pretty scared of the political climate atm and can't justify buying a modern helmet because of the price  :rotfl

They only made 258 of them before the FBI told them to drop the Bureau name and FBI serial number.
They also made 2 with HRT serial numbers, but I wouldn’t even know where to start on what they are worth.

Very little physically. Personably less MIM, but structurally the same (minor aesthetic changes like a recessed slide stop now when they didn’t do that in the late 90’s)
It’s the model name and serial number that sets it apart. Only 258 were released

Picked up this M18 a few days ago, last 1 in stock at Bass Pro.  I was raised with rifles and shotguns, but this is my first handgun.  Handled a .357 Mag a bit maaaaannny years ago, but that's it.  Looking forward to hitting the range.  (And finding some practice ammo....)

Just ordered a 7.5" complete upper in 5.56x45 from Midway. I figure the future is uncertain, might as well while I still can.

Also bought ONE 20-rd box of 7.62x39 at a local gun store. It was $8.99. Not cheap but a bargain by today's standards. They had a one box limit.

Bought a stripped AR-15 lower today. Will be mated with my 7.5 inch upper in a pistol configuration. Probably start shopping for parts to complete it tomorrow.

Bought a CMMG lower parts kit without trigger and an ATI buffer tube kit. Still haven't decided which trigger I want but I'm still researching it.
